Choosing Stationery

Fast and Professional Envelope Addressing
A great deal of your wedding budget goes towards your stationery - from Bridal Shower
Invitations all the way to the Thank You notes and everything in between. Some points to consider before
making your stationery purchase are:
Always
order at least 25 more invitation sets (invitations & envelopes), than you think you need. As your wedding
date grows closer, you may add several more names to the guest list.
Order
at least 25 extra envelopes when purchasing your invitations. If you have to go back and re-order at a later
date - it can be much more expensive. The same applies for our envelope addressing services - a good rule is
5 to 10 extra invitations and envelopes for every 100 guests. It is much less expensive and frustrating for
the customer and for Somewhere In Time if you send those extra sets and envelopes with your initial order.
It will definitely save on shipping, and if the customer calls with a last-minute update to an address or a
few add-on's, printing those extras out will be no problem. (Only send Somewhere In Time your invitations if
using our stuffing/stamping service.) Somewhere In Time will mail or fax an invoice to the customer indicating
the amount of extra invitations and/or envelopes we have on hand as well as the amount we have used. The
extras are returned to the customer close to the wedding date, when the customer is positive there will be no
further need for extras.
Purchase
the best quality paper you can afford. Not all stationery is created equal. Ink prints beautifully on quality
paper, but poor paper can produce a print that can appear fuzzy. If you are unsure of the quality of your
paper and how it will appear when printed on, Somewhere In Time will be happy to create a free test sample
for you. Simply mail us one of your extra envelopes with a short note indicating what font or color you would
like to see. We will rush your sample back to you free of charge.
All square invitations,
no matter what their size, cost extra postage to mail.
Somewhere In
Time can not print on dark-colored, metallic, pearlized, or glossy envelopes. Our ink process will not work
well with these envelopes. Even hand-calligraphers have a difficult time with them.
Do not attempt to
have your invitations and/or envelopes sent to Somewhere In Time directly from your stationery company. Not
only can this cause a lot of confusion for us if the stationery company neglects to place the customer name
with the order, but almost all stationery companies refuse to offer this service.
